I ride my bike to school and work so eventually my old headphones cable broke. I take better care of my headphones then most people so they generally last me around a year or so even with all the activity. I have had skull candies smokin ear buds which ran me about $40 and these perform very close if not better. I bought these because they were cheap and I figured I would test out the sound quality of some less expensive headphones. I mean after all if they turned out to be really bad I'm out $16 instead of $40+ and if they turn out to be good then I save money! I bought these in August and its now February. As far as I can tell nothing is wrong with them as of now and they have had the occasional yank on the cord. Like I said I use them mostly when I travel so they have been used while I ride a bike and now on a skateboard. I like good bass that isn't overwhelming and these do a good job at that as well as isolating a lot of outside noise. When I was riding to work one day my mom was honking at me to see if I wanted a ride and I couldn't even hear it! I would say try them out there worth the money.
