I was in an accident 3 yrs ago which resulted in a metal plate and screws in my left ankle. I got this a couple hours ago and couldn't wait to use it.No bueno initially. I tried bubble wrap, then a pillow. It was too painful on my ankle w/out using something but my foot kept sliding out when I did use something.I put on a pair of high-top boots with lots of ankle cushion and used it for 30 minutes w/no problem at all. I felt like I was floating. So far...love love love this thing! So relaxing!I can't attest to any positive health benefits yet because I have no pain in my body. I got it mainly to help with circulation because I've been working from home for almost 10 years and SIT at my desk for 9 or 10 hours per day. I got this and an under the desk thing I can use to help with circulation throughout the day.I cannot remember what this is suppised to do,lol but when I am stressed, I lay on the floor, arms at my side, put this on low and just relax and it really helps. I have fibromyalgia and also have some other things going on in my life that cause anxiety and this and some soft meditation music realky make a huge difference. I just leave it on a spot in my livingroom out of the way but convenient and use it often. I like lowest setting. I was actually going to look up what the benefits are to this and the offer to review came up, but overall for me would be anxiety and stress reduction both physically and mentally.22 years ago I worked in a holistic family health practice and had my first experience with using one of these machines. I loved it, used it whenever I could at work and dreamed of one day having one of my own. Back then, they weren't as easy to find and until now they were a bit much for me to spend but as they are now fsa and hsa approved, I ordered one immediately! It shipped the next day, arrived well-packed and is even more sturdy and well-built than the one I used all those years ago. I've been using it twice per day, 15-minute sessions each time, ever since it arrived. I find it deeply relaxing, to the extent that it has helped me with a recent insomnia issue. I also noticed a marked increase in physical output, if you know what I mean, as has my husband. It seems to aid inflammation, flush excess fluid and eases any backache I'm having within moments. I'm working to heal from SIBO and this offers great comfort and honestly seems to have helped with my digestion in general already.Some folks have mentioned their ankles being uncomfortable and I have had that issue as well. I found two ways to combat that; one or two pair of extra thick socks and even used a very thin pillow on top and rested my ankles on that, and it worked well either way. Oddly, some days I feel zero ankle irritation, some days I feel it enough to use one of the aforementioned methods.It's also worth noting that you will experience different sensations and benefits depending upon how your arms are during the session. Try them at your sides, out like a cross and over your head (if that's comfortable). You'll notice a subtle but definite shift in how the movement traverses your body and each position offers unique benefits, so I usually do all three during each session.Don't do it too close to a meal or snack, and be sure to hydrate well afterwards. Start with the slowest setting and see how you do. Honestly, I've never gone above a few settings above that and don't really see the need. Some folks mentioned their knees hurting. Be sure you are positioned correctly, take it slow and certainly use a pillow beneath your knees if need be. I’ve had this thing in my Amazon cart for three years and my husband finally bought it for me as a birthday present. I’ve only used it once and IT IS AMAZING!!! My legs feel like jello, my whole body is relaxed, and my mind is calm. It is so comfortable with the padded foot rests and so quiet and just feels like a solid, good quality product. My advice: do not wait as long as I did to buy it!!! It is well worth it!!My Mom had something like this many years ago and has had a site back and hip. So I bought this for her as a gift many months ago. She uses it almost daily and says she's very happy with it. I guess it does what it's supposed to as she claims that she feelsuch better after using it. I noticed that some reviews say otherwise so I would probably stop using it immediately if you feel nauseous or discomfort and go to a doctor.This is an expertly-crafted machine that does what it says. Moves smoothly and quietly, zero assembly required but a little bit on the heavy side. After about 8-10 mins, the ankle cradles began slightly digging into my lower calves/ankles and causing mild irritation and itchiness. The ankle cradles are fairly good-sized, however, I have CVI so my lower limbs are swollen. I’m going to try a barrier cream and see if that helps with the friction. Otherwise, a good investment for chronic leg issues, spine alignment, swelling, poor circulation, joint pain, relaxation, light aerobic exercise and body detox. Drink water before and after and stay laying down for 5 minutes after machine has stopped.Awesome product, but start slow and build up duration. I learned the hard way and went full speed ahead: headache, nauseous, lethargic. Now I slow it down and get so much better results: energized but relaxing. Increase peeing too.Satisfied as expected. It pushes whole-body blood circulation and alleviates knee pain. I put two pillows underneath the popliteal space and calves as support. Follow the instructions.
