I'm adding an update to this. I took the top off again because I noticed some noise when I moved it and found a small plastic dowel pin unattached. I then discovered where they went and attached them. They were part of the mechanism to dispense the balls and now it works a lot better. The balls don't jam at the top anymore. I'll leave the review at 4 stars because of the bad quality control and no instructions, but I happy with how it's working now. It's adequate for what it does. The golf balls are dispensed nicely. But there are some negatives, although minor. The tray can hold 60 balls or more, but good luck having all of them feed correctly. They won't. The opening that they fall into isn't big enough so four or five balls jam up there so you will have to reach down with your club head and loosen them up so they can fall into the hole. I found that no more than around five balls will dispense properly before having to break up the ball jam so more fall in. It's not that big a deal, but it is slightly annoying. Second thing is there were no directions. It came with three plastic ball positioners, two for drivers and one for irons. The first driver positioner I tried wouldn't return straight up to the side of the device. It hung down at about a 50 degree angle. I added some weight and got it to return higher, but too much weight prevented the weight of the ball from lowering the positioner. I didn't like this so tried the other one and it returned properly, so I was happy about that. One is all I need. Not sure what the other one is for. If instructions were included then maybe it would say. Finally, I had to take the top off because the dispenser wasn't working properly after it arrived so I had to reposition some of the parts inside so it worked. I noticed that there was what looked like a narrow box that had three tie wraps around it. Two were broke, but the one in the middle wasn't. Thinking that it might be a box containing instructions and maybe other parts, I cut the middle tie wrap. Turned out that it was a 4 to 5 pound weight that was the length of a brick but about half as wide. I guess it's to help keep the dispenser from moving when in use. I didn't put it back. Instead I got a board and drilled some holes into it, but not completely through, that matched the four round feet of the dispenser. I then place the dispenser feet into these holes and it stays stable and won't move. All in all, it's a decent device that works well after a few things were figured out. I definitely recommend it. Sure beats bending down every time to pick up a ball and place it on a tee.
