Please, notice that I can vouch only for my system:iFi DACiFi CANused on desktop computersThe Good (5-star quality sound):Both amplify headphones, but daisy-chaining them through the 4.4mm balanced ports somehow enhances the listening experience.For listening, I am using a Sennheiser 560 Ovation II with an oxygen-free copper/silver wire through the balanced port.The source is a USB 3.0 card in an HP Elite 8100 with 8MB of RAM.For some people, the difference might be negligible.Test it with uncompressed sound. Compression wrecks just about everything.In my system, adding the iSilencer, opens up and widens the sound stage and instrument separation becomes razor sharp. As there was no noise to begin with (I live in a rural area without 5G and industrial activity), I cannot evaluate the noise reduction, but the USB signal is definitely purified, considering the considerable improvement of the sound quality.The original (cheap-looking) USB cable for the DAC is short, but good. For anything longer, it is worth investing into something decent instead of a stock USB cable (the sound is completely different). There is also a noticeable difference between the use of a 2.0 and a 3.0 USB port. USB 3.0 is simply better by allowing higher sampling rates.The Bad (1-star quality housing that breaks open, if exposed to the weight of the USB cable):I have had two of them replaced under warranty, because the housing doesn't take the weight of the cable for long and it breaks open, if it is inserted horizontally. Vertical installation is fine, and it should work fine with laptops with horizontal USB ports as long as the weight of the cable in on your desk.It is so fragile that I stopped using it...
