I am very pleased with this. I think they got the delicate balance of features just about right for what it is. What it is depends on the user.I have read the critical reviews and think they demonstrate that some people want it to be a washing machine. If it were that, it could not be this.This is NOT a replacement for a washing machine doing a full load of clothes. You will hate this if you try to use it that way. If it were bigger, you would need more water which would be heavier, which would suck even more and you still wouldn't like it.This is also not a whitewater dry bag or a big wall climbing haul bag. It is not that big or tough.This is the ultralight dry bag you carry food in for several days on a hike/camping trip. Only when you get to base camp does it become a clothes washer for your ultralight quick dry sweaty trail clothes (which you are wearing). Shorts, socks, T shirt, underwear will all fit inside at once. Not jeans, not sweats. Surrounded by nothing but nature, you work up a sweat by squeezing and shaking this bag full of your clothes. Some air will come out the folded over top when you squeeze allowing you to rub your clothes together for better agitation which you could not do if it remained an air filled bladder. That means some dribbles of water will come out the fold if you tip it upside down. It is not a perfect dry bag, but that is OK. When you are satisfied, find a branch to hang this bag. Stand under it and open the valve to have your shower. Reusing both the water and the soap. Allow your clothes, your self, and your bag to dry in the sun. Use the bag to hang your food in a tree if in bear country. I guess a change of clothes would be acceptable in case you don't want to hang around camp naked while your clothes dry. Up to you (and your campmates) whether that extra weight in your pack is worth it.If I had to list complaints, the handle on the bottom is a bit small for my hand.The maximum permissible water temperature of 104F is a bit lower than water from a 120F hot tap or a kettle on a campfire.That use case is just one of many. I personally keep it in our guest bathroom so that guests can hand wash their own lingerie or swimwear without trying to figure out how the big washing machine works. The pictograph instructions for use printed on the bag are understandable.
