Recently and older computerized sewing machine finally decided to stop working. It didn’t stop completely but it stopped doing everything that I needed. So I took the opportunity to buy a new machine, the Janine 2222. I grew up sewing on my mother’s Necchi and when she upgraded to a computerized machine , she gifted it to me. When I started to look for a new sewing machine I couldn’t quite go that high in price, so I chose a more economical model of the Juki/Necchi/Janome family.This machine is heavy and does not rock at high speed. It is also very quiet. What I like the most are simple easy to understand instructions and knobs instead of buttons. I also like that the measurements are in inches and not metric (I was never really sure how long a stitch was going to be because I don’t convert well). Overall I think I made a great choice.
