I have been using the Ultimate Ears 100, by Logitech Inc., for about 3 years now (previous pair lasted 2 years before left side sound started to cut off) and I have never been more satisfied. The fact that these earphones are that durable makes them an automatic 4-star by default. My activity level can be rated near a "very active" - bringing these earphones while I workout, run, and everyday walking... And yet these bad boys lasted so long. But one thing I am careful about is excessive tugging on my cord. I do not abuse my earphones, like I see some people (for example, yanking the earphones out of the jack to disconnect them), so that may have maximized the life of the earphones. So let's get down to the pros and cons.PROS:-Clear, crisp sound with decent bass (acoustics are great also)-Noise-isolating/canceling is phenomenal for the price you pay-Spare ear buds included (to find the size specific for your ear fitting)-Nice unique color contrasts, for those who like to stand out-An elbow "L" connector cable (where you plug the earphones into the sound jack) *the elbow "L" is more sturdy, opposed to straight armed "I" design-Great for extensive use, doesn't get uncomfortable even after 4+ hrs of use-Long life span (I maxed out at 2 years with above average usage)CONS:-The head of the earphones look a little flimsy (where the sound comes etc.)-Cable is a little short (taller people may have discomfort when listening and walking in pocket)-Although designs are unique and nice, the colors I want only had a feminine graphic-Ear buds tend to detach from the earphones itself after they fall out for the first timeAll in all, I would recommend the Ultimate Ears 100 to anyone. I have purchased these as birthday gifts and my friends would always comment on how I must of spent a fortune for these - with the average guess being around $30! If you are looking for affordable, great-quality earphones, do the following: find your favorite color of the Ultimate Ears 100, add into cart, and then checkout. You will not regret it!P.S. I have tried all different kinds of earphones, varying from Sony to JVC. I have not been more satisfied with these!
